1 – Download SRPM of Nginx and openssl tarball
# wget http://cerntos.alt.ru/pub/nginx/0.8/RHEL/SRPMS/nginx-0.8.53-1.el5.src.rpm
# wget http://www.openssl.org/source/openssl-0.9.8l.tar.gz

2 – Extract openssl in /usr/local/src and install SRPM
# tar -xzvf http://www.openssl.org/source/openssl-0.9.8l.tar.gz -C /usr/local/src
# rpm -ivh nginx-0.8.53-1.el5.src.rpm

3 – Edit nginx.spec (/usr/src/redhat/SPECS/nginx.spec) and add the following lines:

4 – Rebuild the RPM

# rpmbuild -bb nginx.spec

5 – Install and verify the new Nginx
# nginx -V
nginx version: nginx/0.8.53built by gcc 4.1.2 20080704 (Red Hat 4.1.2-48)
TLS SNI support enabled

## UCARP installation on both is same:

# yum install ucarp -y

## Basic Configuration ( bob )

Create a copy of example file for our personal configuration

# cp /etc/ucarp/vip-001.conf.example /etc/ucarp/vip-001.conf

Edit new file as described below:

#bob’s ID

#Real bob’s IP
SOURCE_ADDRESS=”10.1.2.4″

# Virtual IP
VIP_ADDRESS=”10.1.2.5″

## Start UCARP

bob# service ucarp start

joe# service ucarp start

My purpose here is a fail over solution for a Web server I have here, I tested this way:

turned off bob and looked if I still accessing my web server, I noticed some delay ( around 10-30s ), after it all working fine, of course you have to think about your app because it must be synchronized, if not, when host1 has down time, host2 will be outdated…

I wanted only show my experience testing fail over using ucarp, until today, I didn’t know ucarp

Trying my luck at Fedora repositories I found the chm2pdf… yum should have “I’m feeling luck” option heh, just kidding…

Ok lets work

1 – Install chm2pdf:
# yum install chm2pdf -y

2 – The basic syntax is very complex to convert some chm to pdf, look below:
# chm2pdf –book yourCHM.chm outputname.pdf

Too hard uh?

I noticed when file name has spaces this doesn’t work as expected… I don’t tested better more about.

Googlando por uma ferramenta online que convertesse um CHM ( Arquivo de Ajuda da M$ ), não encontrei nenhuma

Tentando minha sorte nos repositórios do Fedora eu encontrei chm2pdf… yum deveria ter uma opção “Estou com sorte” heh, brincadeira…

Vamo lá:

1 – Instalar chm2pdf:

# yum install chm2pdf -y

2 – A sintaxe básica é muito complexa para converter um chm para pdf, segue abaixo:

# chm2pdf –book yourCHM.chm outputname.pdf

Dificil hein?

Eu vi que quando o nome do arquivo tem espaço o mesmo não funciona como deveria, não testei mais..

De qualquer forma, é isso ai!
