Fedora 11 Preview: Configuring udev to detect 3G usb modem Aiko 82D

Consegui solucionar o meu maior problema com Fedora 11 Preview, minha conexão 3G usando o modem usb Aiko82d não estava funcionando.

Eu abri um bug no bugzilla para o NetworkManager, pensando que era problema dele, porém o problema era do udev que não tinha regrar pro meu modem.

Solução:

Adicione isto no arquivo /etc/udev/rules.d/99_aiko82d.rules
SUBSYSTEM==”block”, \
ACTION==”add”, \
SYSFS{idVendor}==”19d2″, \
SYSFS{idProduct}==”2000″, \
OPTIONS=”ignore_device”

SUBSYSTEM==”block”, \
ACTION==”add”, \
SYSFS{idVendor}==”19d2″, \
SYSFS{idProduct}==”0001″, \
OPTIONS=”ignore_device”

SUBSYSTEM==”usb”, \
SYSFS{idVendor}==”19d2″, \
SYSFS{idProduct}==”0001″, \
RUN+=”/sbin/modprobe usbserial vendor=0x19d2 product=0x0001″

SUBSYSTEM==”usb”, \
SYSFS{idVendor}==”19d2″, \
SYSFS{idProduct}==”2000″, \
RUN+=”/sbin/modprobe usbserial vendor=0x19d2 product=0x2000″

– Recarregar as regras do udev
# udevadm control –reload-config

– Desplugue e plugue o modem e conecte-se através usando a conexão GSM criada no NetworkManager.

Obrigado ao Carlos E. Morimoto pelo script conectar-vivozap, de onde eu peguei as regras do udev para o meu modem.

I got solve my bigger problem on Fedora 11 Preview, my 3g connection using my usb modem Aiko82d wasn’t working.

I filed a bug on bugzilla under NetworkManager thought that was your problem but the problem is of udev that hasn’t rules to my modem.

Solution:

Add this on file /etc/udev/rules.d/99_aiko82d.rules

– Reload the udev rules
# udevadm control –reload-rules

– Unplug and Plug the modem, connect using the GSM connection created on NetworkManager
